Description

The Beatles Rubber Soul Mono LP


This is the rare Mono First Pressing XEX 579 -1 /XEX 580 -1 often referred as the ‘Loud Cut’. It was replaced after just a few days with the more common -4/-4 pressing.


Sleeve is in Good condition for its years, there is some age related yellowing on the back around the edges but otherwise ok, there is no writing or visible markings. Front cover is fine.


Vinyl is visually VG, some small hairlines and a small white mark on side one which I have tried to highlight in one of the photos. However these are superficial and are in no way audible. I have ultrasonically cleaned the LP and play tested it and sonically it is EX, absolutely no pops, clicks or skips anywhere and also no groove distortion which is common on LPs from this era. There is just some very slight surface noise between tracks but really not that noticeable, it’s probably the best you will get for an LP of this age and I think it would be hard to find a copy that plays as well. Labels look good with just some slight ring marks, it doesn’t look like it has been played too much.


Comes with the original ‘Emitex’ inner sleeve.
