This ORIGINAL 1stPressing STEREO version of RUBBER SOUL by THE BEATLES was released December 1965 on Capital Records ST 2442.    This is a very clean playable album...it's a gem.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

-      First press with rainbow rim labels and a border around the cover.

-      The ''New Improved'' caption is in brown inside the picture and there is no ''File Under'' caption in the top border. 

-      The individual names (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are above the spindle hole; does not mention the group's name (The Beatles). The ''Stereo'' caption reaches over the tracklisting.

-      #8 on back cover

CONDITION

Record:  VERY GOOD to VERY GOOD+.  The record plays well. No skips or distortion; some superficial and visual scratches (mostly in the runouts) and a little crackle.   Record plays cleanly with no issues.  Record still shines. 

Cover/Labels/Inserts:  VERY GOOD+.  The cover has no seam splits, no tape and no price stickers. There is a small ½” tear on the top cover. There is a small pen marking on the back top left and a small check mark next to Norwegian Wood.  The labels are in good shape with a little wear around the spindle holes.   

All Vinyl is stored in Collector Protector Archival Quality Record Sleeves with the Original Cover and inserts stored in Plastic Sleevesto preserve the integrity of the recording and album cover for years to come.
