This EXCELLENT UK 1965 mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels include the 'Sold In UK..' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrices: XEX 579-4 & XEX 580-4
Stamper codes: 13/RGD & 4,3/ROA
Vinyl weight: 170g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex...' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Disc: EXCELLENT
This well looked-after disc has clean, bright labels with a small number of spindle marks around each centre hole. Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with a just a couple of light fingernail scuffs and some harmless wispy paper hairlines beneath halogen light. The cultured -4 cutting plays very nicely with a hint of vinyl background between tracks and in quieter passages but no other audible issues.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Harder to find than it's 'Garrod & Lofthouse' counterpart, this strong and clean cover retains a sparkling front panel laminate bearing little more than a few 'thumbnail' wrinkles towards the opening edge and two small spine bends. All corners are in good shape with no heavy bumps or bruising to any. The rear panel has slight discolouration but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are intact and both seams and the spine are undamaged.
