THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
This outstanding UK MONO pressing dates from late 1966 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
After the harsh -1 and over-soft -4 cuttings, this -5/-5 cut finally achieved the sound which was originally intended.
This preferred cutting was used for all UK mono pressings from 1966 onwards and was even re-employed on the 1981 repressing.
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'The Gramophone Co..' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Visual: NEAR MINT
Factory-fresh deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight. Aside from a single non-feelable hairline and harmless paper scuff line on side 1 beneath halogen light, this disc is flawless and appears 'as new'. Both labels are immaculate showing only a handful of light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole only.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This wonderful sounding cutting really comes alive on this disc. All tracks play with a warmth and clarity missing on earlier pressings. Aside from the usual touch of light background on 'Michelle', there is nothing to fault on this exceptional copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A truly 1st class, clean & strong example with a richly coloured high-gloss front panel free from any 'thumbnail' or any other creasing. There is slight shelfwear bruising to the lower corners but the uper two and both opening edges are unworn. The rear panel is pristine white & totally unblemished. All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Clean & flat with no writing, tears or seam splits.
