Description
Very cool item that needs some explanation! This is a 1969 Apple Records Uruguay issuance of 'Abbey Road' by the Beatles. The sleeve is not sealed, but the LP is still sealed in the original inner sleeve. A sealed poly inner sleeve is uncommon for most countries, but this was not unusual for some South American countries. Also, the jacket isn't a typical cardboard U.S. sleeve, rather a combo laminated/cardboard sleeve. This was likely done because the jackets in South American pressings are very thin. Around this laminated thin jacket there is still the original shrink wrap, only opened at the jacket's right side.
Interesting label - the "Apple" written on the label has a similar font to the "Zapple" in the Zapple Records labels. Also, all song titles are in Spanish. Cover is in color, back cover is in black and white (which was how the jacket was issued in 1969). Titles on the back cover are in English. Label shows both the SAPL 30506 and the individual side labels YEX 749 and YEX 750.

Cover graded at EX+. It is in fantastic shape, considering the starting place of a very think sleeve. Generally, South American issuances don't hold up so well!
