Description
Artist : THE BEATLES
LP Title : Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Label : Parlophone / PMC 7027 / 1967 / MONO
Matrix/Stamper Numbers : YEX 637-1 (mother=2, stamper=AP) / YEX 638-1 (mother=2, stamper=GD)
Notes : First mono pressing, yellow and black Parlophone labels, 'The Gramophone Co.' text on rims, and 'Sold In UK...' text in label centres, laminated G&L gatefold sleeve (with flipbacks visible inside the gatefold), thick spine (8mm), and original red and white inner sleeve. Unfortunately, the cut-out sheet is missing.
Condition : Sadly there is quiet a lot of crackling throughout the entire album, plus a couple of little clicks. I think this record would benefit greatly from a professional cleaning job, I am sure this would reduce some of the audible interference. Visually there are quite a few harline marks/scuffs plus a couple of heavier scratches on side 1 (though these don't appear to give off any major pops etc), plus some dusty patches/blemishes, which as mentioned above could probably be cleaned off without too much trouble.
The labels are quite clean, with some light spindle marking. There is a 'K T' tax code on side 1.
The original psychedelic red and white inner sleeve is in very good shape though does have a 2.5" split on the bottom edge.
The gatefold sleeve is in excellent shape with some minor laminate crease marks, a little corner wear, very minor wear down the opening edges, the wide spine is in very good shape with perfect text and a little creasing towards the top and the bottom. When the gatefold is opened out (with flipbacks visible) there is visible creasing down the centre (through Paul's arm).

This record will be shipped in a high quality 13.5x13.5" record mailer with four brand new card stiffeners - postal insurance is also highly recommended.
