Background...

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 26 May 1967,[nb 1] Sgt. Pepper is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves, and the producer in popular music. The album had an immediate cross-generational impact and was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment. Critics lauded the album for its innovations in songwriting, production and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for reflecting the interests of contemporary youth and the counterculture.


The vinyl is really nice... It has a beautiful glossy sheen in appearance and  sits flat to the surface. Gorgeous labels and spindle holes.  There are some light insignificant sleeve removal wisps that can be seen under strong light and x1 tiny score. Spindle trails can be seen at an angle.


The outer GATEFOLD cover is good for age. It is vibrant and has a lovely gloss still, with no splits or tears. Shows some film crinkles, dirt, age discolouration/wear to the corners/edges/spine as to be expected for an item of this age.


The green Peter Blake cutouts are excellent as seem to have been kept inside the gatefold.



OVERALL A FABULOUS AND SAUGHT AFTER PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION!!!
