A beautiful example of this first issue Stereo SGT Pepper album with Flame Inner Bag and Unused Cut-Out
No doubt, one of the Iconic albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by E.M.I./Parlophone, UK on the 1st June 1967 and went straight to Number 1, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!
Album Description and Condition:
This 1967 original UK Parlophone stereo LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record labels are in Mint Minus condition, both labels are super clean with no handwriting or fading to the printed text, and just a couple of very light play signs.
Side 1 matrix, YEX 637-1. and Side 2, YEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers. 1 G R H. and Side 2, 4 G R T. with a K T Tax Code on side 1 label.
Both vinyl surfaces in beautiful Near Mint condition – super clean surfaces to both sides, without scratches or scuffs, showing nothing more than just a couple of light bag removal hairlines.
The album plays as good as it looks great stereo sound quality throughout the tracks.
The Vinyl LP comes in its correct Excellent flame inner record bag which has a 2" seam split to the bottom edge, and includes an original SGT Pepper Unused and Undamaged Cut-Out which is in Mint condition.
And is protected in it’s original First Issue, Fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip-back Gate-fold Sleeve printed ‘PCS 7027 stereo’ to the reverse.
This is a beautiful sleeve in Near Mint condition, the sleeve still retains its deep gloss laminate to the front, reverse, and inner gate-fold centre, there is no fading to the colours.
As you can see from the scan below the gate-fold centre of the sleeve has rarely been opened and looks as new condition.
The spine edge is super clean and white and clearly reads 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The reverse panel of the sleeve shows very mild record storage signs, there are no seam splits to any of the edges.
A really beautiful example of one of the most talked about albums of the 20th Century, 100% ORIGINAL and COMPLETE example.
