IN ALL ROUND BEAUTIFUL CONDITION, TOTALLY COMPLETE WITH ALL FIRST ISSUE COMPONENTS, 100% ORIGINAL!
This mono SGT Pepper Album, also The Beatles (mono) 0088454 numbered White Album, and the mono Yellow Submarine Album listed, are from the same collection, and have been very well cared for by the previous owner.
No doubt, one of the ICONIC albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone, UK back on 1st June 1967. It went straight to Number 1, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!
Album Description and Condition:
1967 FIRST ISSUE UK Parlophone MONO VINYL LP on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels.
Side 1 stamped matrix: XEX 637-1 and Side 2: XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 3 HP and Side 2: 2 PM.
Both record labels are in very nice Excellent Plus condition, an undamaged set of record labels, NO handwriting or fading to the bold Yellow or Silver Printed text, showing just light centre spider trails to both labels.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition – beautiful natural glossy vinyl surfaces, all that is visible under strong lighting are a few very light surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches or scuffs.
Audio Quality:
The album plays well throughout the tracks with NO skips, clicks or pops, a really superb mono sound quality.
The Vinyl Disc comes in an ORIGINAL, First Issue, Flame Pink and White inner bag printed ‘Made in Great Britain Patents Applied For’ to the bottom corner, which is in Very Good condition, the bag shows light creases, there is a seam split to the bottom edge, and small tears to the opening edge.
The album comes with an ORIGINAL First Issue CARD Sgt Pepper Cut-Out, which is in SUPERB, UNDAMAGED Mint Minus condition.
…..And is protected in an ORIGINAL First Issue Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back GATEFOLD Sleeve printed ‘PMC 7027 mono’ to the reverse.
This is an IMPRESSIVE, VERY GLOSSY sleeve in Excellent Plus condition. The sleeve still retains its DEEP GLOSS laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse. There is NO fading to the vivid colours, and there is only mild record indentation to the reverse panel where the album has been stored. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, just a couple of minor corner bruises, the inside of the Gatefold Sleeve is in SUPERB condition, and the two internal fold over flaps are undamaged, the spine edge is undamaged, with just a little age toning, the printed text 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is legible, the reverse panel of the sleeve is also clean and undamaged condition.
A superb condition 1967 original Beatles Album, in great condition, with all original inserts, hard to believe that this album was released 45years ago!
