SUPER CLEAN LABELS, NEAR MINT VINYL, GLOSSY NEAR MINT SLEEVE, GREAT AUDIO, TOTALLY COMPLETE, 100% ORIGINAL!
No doubt, one of the ICONIC albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone, UK on the 1st June 1967. It went straight to Number 1, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!
Album Description and Condition:
The FIRST ISSUE MONO VINYL LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record labels are in impressive Near Mint condition, a very clean set of record labels, with NO handwriting or fading to the bold Yellow or Silver Printed text, and just a couple of light signs of play to the centre spindle holes.
Side 1 stamped matrix: XEX 637-1 and Side 2: XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1 GPG and Side 2: 0 GHP.
There is an embossed KT Tax Code visible on the side 1 record label.
Side 1 of the vinyl disc is in superb undamaged Near Mint condition, beautiful bright vinyl surface, showing nothing more than a couple of light surface hairlines, there are NO scuffs or deep scratches.
Side 2 of the vinyl disc is in Excellent Plus condition, bright vinyl surface, showing a surface mark on the vinyl, see scan of the mark below, this mark does not effect the sound quality,there are NO scuffs or deep scratches.
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL from beginning to end, with a clear mono sound quality, with NO clicks, NO skips.
The Vinyl Disc comes in it’s ORIGINAL, Pink & White Flame Inner Bag which is in Near Mint condition, there are no seam splits or tears, just mild creases.
Also included is an ORIGINAL First Issue CARD Sgt Pepper Cut-Out, which is in SUPERB, UNDAMAGED Mint condition.
…..And is protected in it’s ORIGINAL First Issue Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back gatefold Sleeve printed ‘PMC 7027 Mono’ to the reverse, at the top right corner.
The sleeve is in superb Excellent Plus toNear Mint condition, it still retains its high gloss laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse, with NO fading to the colours, and hardly any signs of the usual record indentation, there are NO seam splits to any of the edges, and only a couple of mild corner bumps.
The inside of the Gatefold Sleeve is in perfect Mint condition, and looks as new, with the two internal fold over flaps perfect. The spine edge is clean and white with just a little creasing and the wording 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' is clearly legible. There is a small laminate bubble at the bottom right corner on the reverse of the sleeve.
This is a very well cared for example of an original 1967 Mono SGT Pepper album, in superb condition, and 100% ORIGINAL and COMPLETE.
