A NICE EXAMPLE COMPLETE WITH FLAME INNER BAG & UNUSED SGT PEPPER CUT-OUT IN ORIGINAL FULLY LAMINATED GATE-FOLD SLEEVE.
No doubt, one of the Iconic albums of the 20th Century, The Beatles ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone, UK on the 1st June 1967. The album went straight to Number 1 in the album charts, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks, wow!
Album Description and Condition:
This first issue mono LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record labels are in superb Excellent condition, a very clean set of record labels, with no fading to the Yellow or Silver Printed text, and just light signs of a few plays, and small initials in the yellow circle.
Side 1 matrix. XEX 637-1. Side 2. XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers. 6 R P A. Side 2. 4 G L L.
There is an embossed KT Tax Code visible on the side 2 record label.
Both sides of the vinyl LP are in Excellent condition, bright vinyl surfaces to both sides, with just a few light surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches to either side.
The LP plays with great sound quality from beginning to end, very powerful, with a clear mono sound quality, with NO clicks, NO skips, just mild background crackle.
The LP comes in it’s original, Pink & White Flame Inner Bag which is in undamaged condition, there are no seam splits or tears, and also included is the original unused first Issue Sgt Pepper Cut-Out.
And is protected in it’s original First Issue fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back gate-fold Sleeve printed ‘PMC 7027 Mono’ to the reverse, at the top right corner. The sleeve is in superb Excellent condition, and still retains its high gloss laminate to the front, inner gate-fold and reverse, with no fading to the colours, and just mild signs of record storage, there are no seam splits to any of the edges, and only a couple of very mild corner bumps.
(Please note) the previous owner has put sellotape on the spine edge of the sleeve, why???
This is a very nice example of an original 1967 mono SGT Pepper album, and 100% original and complete.
