SUPER CLEAN LABELS, FINE EXCELLENT TO EXCELLENT PLUS VINYL, GLOSSY GATEFOLD SLEEVE, GREAT AUDIO, TOTALLY COMPLETE, 100% ORIGINAL!
No doubt, one of the ICONIC albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone, UK back in 1967. It went straight to Number 1, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!
Album Description and Condition:
The FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the SUPERB record labels labels.
Both record labels are in impressive Excellent Plus condition, a very clean set of record labels, with NO handwriting or fading to the bold Yellow or Silver Printed text, and just a few light spindle lines to each label.
Side 1 stamped matrix: YEX 637-1 and Side 2: YEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 3 GAP and Side 2: 1 GAR.
There is an embossed KT Tax Code visible on the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Excellent condition, bright vinyl surfaces, showing just a few light non sounding surface hairline scratches, there are NO deep scuffs or deep scratches.
Audio Quality:
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL from beginning to end - A CLEAR, STRONG STEREO sound with NO clicks, NO skips, just mild background crackle.
The Vinyl Disc comes in it’s ORIGINAL, Pink & White Flame Inner Bag which is in Excellent Plus condition, there are no seam splits, tearing, or any other damage, just mild creases.
The album comes with an ORIGINAL First Issue CARD Sgt Pepper Cut-Out, which is in SUPERB, UNDAMAGED Near Mint condition.
…..And is protected in it’s ORIGINAL First Issue Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back GATEFOLD Sleeve printed ‘PCS 7027 Stereo’ to the reverse.
The sleeve is in overall Excellent condition, it still retains its high gloss laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse, with no fading to the colours, and only minimal record indentation to the front panel, there are no seam splits to any of the edges, three of the corners show light bumps, and the top left corner shows a light crease, causing the laminate to lift slightly.
The inside of the Gatefold Sleeve is in SUPERB Excellent Plus condition, and the two internal fold over flaps are UNDAMAGED. The spine edge shows age toning and rubbing to the top corner, but clearly reads 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.
The reverse panel is undamaged, and all wording clearly legible.
An overall respectable example of this original 1967 Album, 100% ORIGINAL and COMPLETE.
