The Beatles SGT PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
1967 UK mono Parlophone PMC 7027.
Side 1: XEX 637-1 (1 RP)
Side 2: XEX 638-1 (3 MA)
Complete with first press dark green cut outs and red flame ‘psychedelic’ inner sleeve both in excellent condition.
Very nice clean labels with minimal spindle marks. KT is embossed on side 1.
Side 1: Excellent audio and visually very clean and unmarked, played very loud there were just a few minor clicks.
Side 2: Has a visible scratch on ‘A Day in The Life’ and on the piano fadeout you can hear a few clicks, apart from that pretty good, with a few minor clicks here and there. VG+ audio.
Overall the fantastic 1967 mono mix is still superb on this LP and can be played very loud!
The gatefold cover is a very nice example. The spine is intact and the text still clear. Some expected corner bumps but inside is beautifully preserved and it is easily an excellent example for its 53 year age!
