Description

The Beatles’ Second Album RARE 1967 Press MONO ALL RUNNING TIMES NM Vinyl!

Rarest pressing Scranton MONO copy.

Vinyl--- Both sides shine up at you, just like brand new.  Side 1 is absolutely NM, looks store stock new.  Side 2 has two, MAYBE three extremely light angel hairlines that are only detectable under a bare bulb.  Scranton “IAM” triangle in the dead wax on both sides.

Plates--- G4/ G2

Cover--- Maybe not as impressive as the vinyl, but it is still absolutely structurally strong.  NO split seams, NO missing slick, NO shelfwear, NO outdent from the record.  Not even almost.  Front cover is bold, mostly white, except some light dirtwear on the bottom.  Back cover has very slightly yellowed.  Has a name written in the top right corner, “George W. Hughes.”  Moderate dirtwear on the bottom.

Labels--- NM both sides.  They both look like they did when they were pressed in 1964.  Side 2 label has all the running times of the songs listed.  Some people may think nothing of that, but if you look at ALL the reissues from 1964 to 1983, NONE of the subsequent Capitol or Apple reissues have all running times.  The 1967 pressing was the ONLY time they were all printed on the labels.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Blue Capitol inner sleeve is present and in great condition.  NO split seams.  Nice and flat.  Some chipping occurred at the top edge.  A generic plain white sleeve will be provided, so as not to split your original Capitol sleeve en route.

RIAA: 3

Drop dead gorgeous copy of this LP.  A final upgrade for most.

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
