Description
MEGA RARE The Beatles “The Beatles’ Second Album” RECORD CLUB LP | Black Capitol Label ST-8-2080.
Ridiculously rare 1969 reissue of “The Beatles’ Second Album” LP. Capitol record club release with triple bar logo on cover, ‘manufactured under license’ text on rear cover, label with revised catalog number, and label with modified rim print in the color band!
This album was quickly pulled from the record club’s listing catalog and thus few are out there.
Please note that neither the cover nor vinyl are in perfect condition, but this is your chance at a very rare record.
The cover has some mild yellowing with age. The spine is 70% intact. You can still full read the album name and the catalog number! The upper seam is 90% intact. That being said, there is an upper partial split at the top of the poster board cover and yellowing from an old tape repair (the tape has long since fell off). The lower seam is 60% intact.
The vinyl has been well played. Numerous very light surface marks. Side one also has a very long white across the disc, but it is define it a surface scratch. It does not cause ticks or pops. I listed to it today on my Technics turntable. I’d call Side 1 a VG- and Side 2 a VG. Again: this record was well loved, but still sounds really nice!
