Description
Sgt Pepper 1st press from summer 1967 on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in the original gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse with 'patents pending'. There's, unfortunately, no original inner sleeve or cut-outs.
Vinyl (Ex) Has been well cared for and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal all we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of place, but even this is very minor. The one deviation is the mark right at the start of side 2 - this causes two pops [and that is all]. It really does play back very very well indeed. Sgt Pepper sounds awesome today in Mono, and after 50 years of use, this LP still amazes!
Cover (Vg+) Has been clearly looked after with a nice and shiny front and rear. There are a few light creases front and back. There's a bit of edge wear, but nothing really significant. The interior is in immaculate condition. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
