Incredibly rare Monophonic 1st pressing factory sealed copy of The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” released on May 26th, 1967 by Capitol Records. This copy has an extremely rare and collectible 2nd Mono cover variation which was pressed in the late June / early July 1967 with the lower left-hand corner of the back cover containing a large “© NEMS ENTERPRISES LTD., 1967” publishing credit print. The copies with this cover variation are insanely rare and were produced in a minimal quantity as almost immediately Capitol Records went on to the final 3rd Mono cover variation which had not only the “NEMS” but also the “Maclen Music Inc.” publishing credit. The top of the front cover contains a “This Record Can Be Played on Any STEREO Phonograph” Day-Glo red sticker. This copy contains inside a custom red-pink-white inner sleeve and a glossy gimmick cut-out insert, which can be slightly seen through the intact shrink wrap at the top of the spine inside the gatefold interior. During the period when this copy was pressed, the labels remained uncorrected and I’m sure that Side 1 of the 1st run labels contains a misprint indicating “A Little Help From My Friend”. The album is in amazing Mint condition with the fully intact shrink wrap having the original breathe holes, two on the front cover. Final upgrade copy from a private collection. This listing also includes an original vintage extremely rare 48-page songbook featuring the exclusive for this issue portrait style full-color photo of each Beatle measuring 8.5” x 11” along with the notes and lyrics of all of the songs from the “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album. The songbook is in great vintage condition.
