Description
The Beatles ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ PMC 7027
Original MONO vinyl from 1967 with a fantastically preserved
8 mm W I D E S P I N E with a superb, almost immaculate gatefold cover.
Complete with a beautiful Made in Great Britain RED FLAME INNER in superb condition. One side has a 3 cm rip down the edge. No other rips, tears or marks. Still exceptionally clean after all these years.
The DARKER GREEN cut out insert is just perfect.
The GATEFOLD COVER is easily in excellent plus condition.
Look at the edges. Examine the corners. Check out the clarity of the wide spine. This is a beautiful glossy example unfaded and unmarked. There is very minor laminate creasing and ringwear and one of the flipbacks inside has lost a smudge of yellow on the edge of the flipback but that is being picky. It would be hard to find a better 1967 wide spine cover than this one.
The LP is a first pressing with KT embossed on side 2 label.
XEX 637-1 ( 3 MR)
XEX 638-1 ( 3 O)
There is an extra dot on side 1 Sold In.U.K.
Compared to side 2 Sold In U.K.
The labels show very minor spindle markings and are excellently clean. This LP hasn’t been played a lot and it has been handled very carefully. Faint hairline surface scratches only. This is excellent plus vinyl and some! Plays through with virtually no audio interference.
The fabulous mono mix from 1967 plays as good as the day it was pressed.
Overall, an EXCELLENT ++ copy.
