Description:Up for auction is a genuine, vintage 1967 UK Mono first pressing of The Beatles' masterpiece Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on the classic black & yellow Parlophone label (PMC 7027).This is a highly sought-after collector's variant featuring the rare early "Wide Spine" laminated gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse, which was only issued with the very earliest batches.Key Pressing Identifiers:Matrix Numbers: XEX 637-1 (Side 1) & XEX 638-1 (Side 2) stamped in the dead wax.Labels: Features the original "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO..." text across the center.Sleeve: Original internal-flipback laminated gatefold with the early wide spine flat edge.What’s Included:Original 12" Mono Vinyl LPOriginal 1967 "The Fool" pink and white psychedelic inner sleeveOriginal green cardboard cutout sheet (completely intact, un-cut)Condition Description (Please Read Carefully & See Photos):Vinyl (Visual Grade Only): Visually graded under bright direct light as Good (G) to Good Plus (G+). The vinyl retains a fair amount of its original gloss but shows numerous surface scuffs, hairlines, and light scratches across both sides from decades of standard use. Notably, there is a longer, distinct vertical scratch on Side 1 running from the outer edge through several tracks toward the center label (clearly visible in the final close-up photos).Audio Quality: This record is completely unplayed and untested by me as I do not own a record player. It is sold strictly as-is based on the visual photos provided.Labels: Clean, bright black & yellow Parlophone labels with some typical spindle wear/trails around the center hole. No ink writing, stickers, or tears.Sleeve & Inserts: The gatefold cover retains a nice laminate shine. There is typical vintage edge wear, light creasing, and minor splitting to the internal gatefold center seam as pictured. The wide spine remains structurally solid. The original green cutout insert and "The Fool" inner sleeve show typical paper aging and handling but are fully intact with no major tears.Postage & Packaging:Sent via Royal Mail Tracked / Signed for security and peace of mind.Professional Packing: I take collector safety seriously. The vinyl will be removed from the gatefold cover and the pink inner sleeve and packed separately alongside them to prevent any edge/seam splits during transit.
