  The Beatles Sgt Pepper One EMI box last Mono of the 60's PMC7027

 

The Beatles Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - 1969 One EMI Box last Mono of the 60's.

 These are sort after mostly because of the label as there were only two other pressed with this late 1969 label (Please Please Me & Help! being the other two), and also becuase this was the last pressing of the Mono mix on thick vinyl.

Although Sgt Pepper is now only issued as a Stereo mix as standard, the Beatles themselves were at home at last in the recording studio and had their hands all over this Mono mix, the stereo mix didn't even get a look in believe it or not!

Needless to say this mono mix is something every beatles fan should have.

Condition wise this is in lovely condition apart from a few needless needle skates that don't sound at all. Bit of a shame overwise could class as NM as had very very few plays.

The sleeve is one of the last ever mono sleeves that is correct for this pressing. This has the stereo over pressed onto the mono cover as mono was phased out then and these were suppose to be for the latest Stereo pressing. These covers ALWAYS seemed to have a small square cut from the corner which usually denotes a promo and is done this way so it can't be onsold!
