   For sale is The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, originally released in 1967 on Capitol Records and reissued in 1971 by Apple/Capitol with Capitol Records logo on the cover and the Apple label with "MFD. by Apple Records, Inc." on the bottom . In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers F-26 #4/F-30 #2, followed by "Mastered by Capitol KP" and what appears to be a tipped over martini glass. This "glass" actually represents a Winchester rifle. These etchings indicates that this record was mastered by Ken Perry at Capitol Studios, and an early stamper was used to make this record that was pressed at Capitol's Winchester, Virginia plant. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering that produce superior sound, sought after by collectors and music lovers throughout the world. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17, then immediately put the record into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The insert with the Sgt. Pepper Cut-Outs is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of a 3" seam split along the top of the back cover, faint ring wear and corner rubs. The spine has a little color loss at the corners from these rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of faint sleeve marks and surface scratches.  It's play-graded as VG+ because of occasional low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet parts.  This is still one of the best copies of this album that I have seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more Rock and Roll records, as well as albums of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're mostly Near Mint.
