The Beatles – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967, UK First Pressing, Rare Misprint)
As mentioned above,
This is a rare, 1st stereo Parlophone U.K. press of this iconic LP from The Beatles..Vinyl is the early “unbranded” variety, with no clear bands between the tracks…It also features the misprint with the extra “period” after the “IN” in “SOLD IN.U.K.” Side 1 label..
Vinyl is VG/VG+; there are scuffs and light wear, but plays surprisingly well..I listened to a couple tracks and you can definitely tell the excellent audio quality from these first U.K. issues, especially compared to the muddy U.S. pressings we’re used to on this side of the pond..there’s some light static at the beginning of the first track on each side in but it goes away when the louder music & instruments come in..Labels EX…The cover is VG/VG+ as well, still nice and shiny with the laminated front & back, inside gatefold with the “fold-over” flaps is in great shape..The inside “cut-out” is a newer U.K. issue, from one of the Beatles Blue Box BC 13 collections from 1978-1986..inner sleeve is a new U.K. spec…
All in all, a pretty good example with some unique rarity…
