Description
Sgt Pepper 1st pressing on the German White Odeon Label from 1967. Matrix A1/B2. SHZE401. Manufactured in Germany for the domestic market. The record comes housed in an original gatefold sleeve. Also included are the original dark-green cut-outs and the pink and red inner sleeve. 100% complete. 100% original.
Cover (VG+) Has been well cared for and remains in great condition with only some light ageing. The cover is still nice and rigid and there's only some light edge wear particularly around the corners. The interior is pretty much untouched and the text on the spine is still 100% intact. A fantastic example of an original early cover...
Vinyl (VG+) Again, has been well cared for. There are a number of light marks, but nothing significant enough to cause issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty quiet on the whole and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. There are a few crackles audible in places, but they are not really that significant and are greatly outweighed by what is an excellent rendition of these songs. These early copies were built to last and this one more than lives up to that reputation.
Cut-outs (Ex) Amazing condition. No ageing, creasing, or splits at all.
Inner (VG) Looks in great condition, but please note the seams have split significantly and have been repaired neatly with sellotape.
