Description

An original 1st Mono press of Pepper on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/1. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono gatefold cover with exposed flipbacks. We also have an original 'patent pending' inner, but NO cut-outs.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) Has been well used and exhibits quite a bit of marking both sides. CLEARLY someone who is even remotely fussy about markings will never be able to handle a copy like this. It would need to be a buyer who can compromise on looks to bag a good value mono original. Many marks - scruffy looking surfaces. One or two marks are heavy and do cause issue [see detail]. But that being said - overall - it's still a pretty decent player. More than capable of dishing out some of that original mono Pepper magic. YOU just need to be someone who is prepared to make the compromise. Plays mostly around the VERYGOOD+ level, but with deviation in a few spots. Quite pleasant - relatively clean for large parts. A couple of ticks in LSD & Good Morning [no big deal]. But there are a couple of significant issues in WYWY on side 2. Someone has performed a couple of heavy needle drops [as mentioned above]. I'm getting a few clicks and a couple of [non-repeating] skips during the track. Clearly this is not ideal. But given that the rest of the LP plays well, and even WYWY still plays pretty clean [issues withstanding] - it could well be worth someone bagging this value copy.
Cover (Vg+) Clean surface front and rear with a few thumbnails. The interior is excellent no issues. There's a bit of edge wear to the upper edges. Quite a bit of wear on the spine so text is 50/50 legible. But other than that pretty respectable.
Inner (Vg+) Aged. No splits.
