The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
This superb copy of The Beatles second studio album is a German stereo 1st pressing on the beautiful golden rimmed Swiss Odeon label.
Hörzu shared the distribution rights with Odeon in Germany but not in Switzerland. Consequently, although the record was produced in German (and so shares the matrix numbers of records sold in Germany) the label and catalogue number were unique to the Swiss market.
Odeon are acknowledge for using high-quality vinyl and producing fantastic audio reproductions.This album is certainly that. It is one of the best stereo reproductions of Sgt Pepper that I have heard. Take a listen for yourself below!
The vinyl is housed within the original fully laminated gatefold sleeve.
Also included is the original die-cut Odeon advertising inner sleeve and cut-out insert designed by Peter Blake.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
The labels are bright and clean. No spindle wear is visible. Most labels on new records don't look this good!
Visual: EXCELLENT +
The vinyl displays immaculate 'factory-fresh' deep-gloss playing surfaces. Only a couple of light surface scuffs are visible in bright daylight. Underneath a halogen desk lamp a handful of wispy paper hairlines can be seen alongside a sparkling rainbow shine. Super!
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

As can be heard from the recordings, the vinyl has clearly been played cautiously on good quality equipment. There are quiet lead-ins to both sides. All tracks play through with clarity and distinction - most of which I would confidently grade as MINT-. An enjoyable listen throughout.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
The sleeve looks fantastic. All sides are clean and bright. There are no laminate ripples. The spine is fully readable and without wear. The top, bottom and opening edges are without wear. The corners are strong -the bottom right hand corner of the front pane has subtle softening.
Inners: EXCELLENT +
The original inner sleeve looks great. It is clean without discolouration and with minimal creasing. The cut-out inset is perfect. Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the fantastic record.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
