This is a unique, highly characterful "Ex-Library Copy" from the historic Shettleston Public Library on Wellshot Road in Glasgow, Scotland. The original cardboard novelty cut-outs insert sheet features a vivid green ink library property stamp across the top left corner with handwritten filing codes. A fantastic piece of 1960s British social history!
CONDITION & GRADING DETAILS:
- Vinyl Media Condition: Good Plus (G+) / Very Good Minus (VG-)
Seller Note: The vinyl retains a beautiful glossy shine. Side 2 features a visible vertical hairline scratch across the tracks as shown in the close-up photos. It plays through fully with typical vintage background surface warmth and minor clicks, but no skips.
- Cardboard Sleeve Cover: Good (G)
Seller Note: Original 1967 Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated gatefold cover. Displays a prominent 3-inch seam split along the bottom edge line and standard corner scuffing from library storage. Interior band graphics remain bright and complete.
- Included Inserts: Comes complete with the original 1967 uncut novelty card sheet (stamped) and the original red-and-white psychedelic 'flame' paper inner sleeve (shows edge crinkling).
SHIPPING & PACKAGING:
To completely eliminate the risk of further seam splits or cover wear during transit, the vinyl record is safely removed from the outer jacket sleeve and packed adjacent to it. Sent securely inside a heavy-duty cardboard record mailer with extra thick cardboard inserts. Fast tracked shipping.
