Thank you for looking at this listing for my 1967 1st press Sgt. Peppers by the Beatles.
Parlophone in yellow with silver text for track listing etc on record’s A & B labels.
PMC 7027
Side one - XEX.637 on label. XEX 637-1 on side one run out.

Northern songs, NCB Made in Gt.Britian.
Side two - XEX.638 on label. XEX 638 - 1 on vinyl run out.
Dated 1967, first mono pressing.
Since writing description below I have purchased a Knosti Disco record cleaner and the difference is amazing, I can recommend this cleaner to anyone if like me you were undecided regarding buying one, virtually all surface noise has disappeared, not say it is now mint but very playable and will now repeat the procedure with my other copy.
Played it on my Mitchell turntable via Quad amplification and Cyrus speakers, from start to finish. This system would have shown up any bad faults but apart from slight surface noise (could be static) on run in and between tracks plus the slightest perceptible on the quiet section of’ When I’m Sixty-four’ (SINCE CLEANING MUCH IMPROVED), it is very pleasant listen. Not mint, there are surface imperfections but do not show up on play back.
The cover is reasonable to say it is 48 years old (just realised I have been married 47 years). The spline is the worst plus there is approximately a 15mm band of fade on the front cover spline edge.
Welcome to collect also where I can play it to you should you want to hear it prior to taking away :-) I would prefer this ideally so you might judge for yourself.
Bought by me in 1967 after one of my staff members brought his copy and record player in for us to listen to, we could not believe what we were hearing and played it constantly the whole day to the admiration of customers. Had a similar effect upon me as when I first heard Great Balls of Fire.
At the time I was miffed as I had purchased the Mono version.
Unfortunately my bride to be suggested I give the cut-out insert to her little brother (I will include a jpeg image of the insert so you may get a copy printed out if you wish). The inner sleeve got discarded many years ago when I tore it, but again will include a jpeg of both sides of the correct inner sleeve.
I have just been given a relatives collection and amongst it is a pristine copy (has the insert which I used for jpeg) I have the picture disc and also on cassette so this copy is now surplus to requirements.
