I am auctioning this stunning Beatles Pepper’s copy from my personal collection:
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, PCS 7027, stereo, 1969, fully laminated gatefold sleeve, one box EMI logo black and silver label, with insert
This is a stunning copy - the Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated gatefold cover is in NEAR MINT condition (9.5/10), with flipback glue tabs on the inner spread, no wear and tear, stereo and “patents pending” reference on rear cover, sharp corners, immaculate spine (please see pictures for details).
The single sided card cut out insert is in MINT condition (10/10), with “Printed in England” reference and Blake/Haworth printed signatures.
The white inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT plus condition (8/10), no splitting, with some foxing only, Made in Great Britain, patent nos 1125555 and 1072844 reference.
Stunning vinyl - NEAR MINT condition (9.5/10), few hair lines and 1 spindle line on side 2 only, black and white logo with silver text: The Gramophone Co Ltd in radial text, Made in Gt. Britain at foot. No marks, no scuffs or deterioration in sound - amazing stereo sound quality.
Stamped matrix A side XEX 637-1 GTA and B side: XEX 638-1 GHT
Play graded on a Thorens TD 160, Ortofon VMS20E MkII, B&W 685 speakers, Rotel amp and cleaned on an Okki Nokki RCM.
Grading as per RRPG. Returns accepted.
Postage: 2nd signed for UK, combined postage possible, posted in professional mailers with stiffeners, vinyl will be removed from the cover and placed behind cover in a plastic sleeve.
Europe/Rest of the free world is £15.00, international tracked/signed for. Postage to Russia with Royal Mail currently at £16.50
