Description
In my ongoing quest for honesty, I try to get as much history as possible about the album so that I can provide full details to ensure buyer and seller are fully aware of what is on offer. In this case, I am selling a 1971 repress of one of the most iconic albums ever recorded. This is an early UK stereo pressing with Black/Silver/White Two Box EMI Parlophone label. Housed in a fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve, complete with cut-outs and I can include an original red and white inner sleeve.
PCS 7027 Stereo in the top right hand corner on the back cover and This Is A Stereo Recording bottom right. Track A2 “With A Little Help From My Friends” wrongly credited on the back cover as “A Little Help From My Friends” and repeated as the first line of lyrics which in reality begin with “What Would You Think….”. The 12x12 cut out inserts are fully intact (I was never tempted to cut out the moustache).

Although not an original 1967 pressing, the quality of the album is superb. As always I will provide an honest assessment of the album for the benefit of all concerned. In this instance, having played graded the album I am classifying the vinyl as EX bordering on NM as there are no scratches, pops or clicks and minimal surface noise between tracks. The production values, as expected, are astonishing due to the incredible skills of Sir George Martin.
The gatefold sleeve is in great condition with a very minor bubbling in the lower left hand corner (please see photos) that does not detract from the overall condition of the cover. The card insert is flawless and intact. Having changed most of my inner sleeves with modern, protective sleeves, I cannot guarantee the one included is the original but it is very similar. For completion I am including an original red and white sleeve.
This is an extremely well preserved 1971 repress of this great album and would make a great addition for any collector of The Beatles albums. Thank you for looking and please see my other offerings. Packaging and postage will be first class to ensure safe and secure transit for final delivery.
