The Beatles Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1973 Press NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT

Catalogue number PCS 7027 Originally released 1967
OVERALL CONDITION IS NEAR MINT/EXCELLENTOK it’s not the first ever pressing but it is 44 years old and in amazing NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT condition. The reason is simple; by 1973 I decided to replace my original 1967 Mono copy to play on my new hi-fi. While buying the brand new stereo copy in the record shop I thought I’d treat myself to one of those new fangled cassettes of the same album, which were a lot more convenient, you could take the player from room to room and even into the car!!!!! Surely technology could never improve on that! Anyway, silliness aside, shortly afterwards I got a car radio with a cassette slot and added a decent cassette player to the hi-fi set up; as a result this vinyl copy has hardly ever been played
Sleeve EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT The sleeve is still clean and glossy in very good condition with no tears or splits but there is very slight wear to one small section of the opening edge (this is why I’ve graded it as Ex/NM) but otherwise is in unbelievably as new condition with the colours still very bright. There isn’t any writing, taping or stickers and no laminate creasing.

Spine the spine is firm and totally legible
The sheet of cutouts is NEAR MINT I can’t recall ever taking them out of the sleeve except to check they were there when I purchased the album. There are no tears or creases and the colours are still as deep as when new.
The original EMI advertising inner sleeve is still in good condition and features promotional photos of other EMI albums. I will also include the original plastic outer that I bought, it still fits tightly and has successfully kept the dust off for all these years
Record NEAR MINT The record itself is clean and glossy and the disc retains its deep, black vinyl sheen. There are some faint hairline marks on both sides but nothing ugly or deep to affect the sound quality
Labels NEAR MINT The labels show minimal signs of use, have no writing and are clean with no visible spindle marking.
Audio Quality NEAR MINT It plays really well apart from some of the usual vinyl crackle between tracks, which is hardly audible and doesn’t detract from the overall sound, which is still amazing. In short, it sounds like a new record! It lays flat on the turntable and plays well without jumps, sticks or loud pops..

Summary: this NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT ICONIC, MUSICAL MASTERWORK redefined modern music and production for all time! This album is a lovely piece of genuine memorabilia from a bygone time that changed the world and would grace any collection. If you’re unlikely to ever afford an original ’67 1st press, this is near enough and a lot cheaper - it could just be for you. I’m not a dealer of any sort, but am just downsizing and having to clear things out and trying to survive on a poxy pension. I’m starting it at a sensible price so a genuine fan or collector can enjoy it without paying rip off prices Good luck with your bidding and feel free to ask any question.

This may seem harsh but I’m fed up with time wasters! I use 12" Vinyl LP Record Cruciform postal mailers and protect them with an additional layer of bubblewrap.
