The Beatles- Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band 1st UK Mono (Wide Spine) EX/EX.
This is simply one of the best copies of the wide spine mono Sgt Pepper I've seen or heard.
Vinyl is VG++/EX (there are few very minor surface marks that appear to be paper scuffs that can be seen under very strong light, when played with a stereo cartridge there is small amount of surface noise however when played with a mono cartridge or mono setting on a phono stage it is very, very quite indeed. Treble and midrange are full of detail, nothing has been lost in 55 years, bass is full and punchy, a fabulous sounding record)
Sleeve is EX (I would say very, very close to NM near mint, only a small scuff at the top of spine prevents me from declaring near mint, a gorgeous almost perfect sleeve)
Labels are VG+ (little if any spindle wear, however the first owner of the record has written their name on the label on side 2, it isn't very noticeable, however it is there please see pics)
Inner Bag is VG+( tiny split along the bottom of the fool inner bag and again the first owner has written their name on top the inner bag please see pics)
Cut outs are intact and near mint.

So a genuine pre release pressing!

This is a genuinely gorgeous example.
A word about pricing: Sgt Pepper 1st press monos vary widely in price from a VG/VG for around £50 to a Mint copy for £500+, NM/NM with cutouts and 'fool' inner bag go for £200- £350. There are some ridiculous prices on eBay with people asking £200 to £300 for VG and VG+ copies. I'm trying to be fair with this one, it's a VG++/EX vinyl with an EX+ sleeve, however it's not NM, there are some minor problems such as the writing on inner bag and label. I would expect this copy to sell for around £180 to £220 at a record fair or a dealer.
