Description

Up for your consideration is a very nice standalone copy of the Beatles iconic 1960's masterpiece. I got this from a bookstore and nearly walked past it as it did not have the white "Beatles in Mono" hype sticker. It does however have the made in Germany sticker and it's indeed from the fantastic 2014 all analog remaster. The disc and sleeve/contents are all in great shape but do show a little shelf wear/handling. The original inner sleeve has been replaced with a MoFi inner to protect this masterpiece. I've probably played this disc a half dozen times and it's a great pressing. Your results may vary - I use the Ortofon 2M Mono (or the 2 Mono SE) and it plays this very nicely. The SE reveals a bit more detail and the very end of "A Day in the Life" does have a little bit of background whooshing or swishing but this is only noticed when I play it on my headphones. This might be improved by a good cleaning or vacuuming, but I want to be clear about this - the remainder of the album is excellent. All inserts - the cut out, fools inner sleeve, and "the Beatles in Mono" booklet are all in there and in great shape.
