Description

Original first press of the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP, with gatefold sleeve marked "Fourth Proof" in the top right hand corner on the inside of the gatefold and "AR D1321" in the centre. The matrix numbers are "XEX 637-1/XEX 638-1. It has a wide spine but the spine has been crushed, there is wear along the length of the spine and a frayed tear in the middle over the title. Apart from the spine the sleeve is in very good condition. There is a slight sticker mark on the cover and some light creases around the edges. Slight wear to the edges and corners. There is no card insert. It has the original red and white inner sleeve but the bottom edge is torn and there is a lot of wear to the opening edge.  The disc is in very good condition. There is faint surface scratching on both sides. The A side has a scratch over the last three songs that can be felt slightly. I have play tested it and it played very well throughout with no skips, jumps or loud pops. There was a fuzzing crackle sound that could be heard over the music and repeated itself every second or so over the first four tracks of the B side. It became a lot quieter during the fourth track. The crackling was not too loud or noticeable apart from that. See all 11 photos for details please.
