Description
SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND– THE BEATLES –
PARLOPHONE PMC 7027 – MONO - FIRST PRESSING from June 1967
To help downsizing I am selling my collection of vinyl that has been stored in my loft for the best part of 30 years. Information about the item on offer I have found by looking at websites that provide an insight into the number of different isues of an album. So please check the information provided carefully.
I am not a dealer nor expert in audio quality but shall try to describe to the best of my ability. I recently played this mainly to check the record played through without stopping on an Ion Profile Pro USB turntable.
RECORD
The disc visually appears to be in good condition with some signs of having been played regularly when I had a player such as light scratches and marks. The record did not stick when I played it recently. I listened to sections of the album and found the sound good for me, but age and playing regularly in the past may have lessened quality for an expert ear.
The labels are clean and clear.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 637-1 NRG 2; Side 2: XEX 638-1 DAG 2
COVER
It has a laminated gatefold with inside flipback sleeve with “mono” PMC 7027 number on back side. Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. The colour is clear and has just a few creased bits and scuffs where it has been stored on shelves. The spine shows some wear as it had been opened quite regularly.
INNER SLEEVE
Included is the original psychedelic red inner sleeve This has the stamp of the record shop where I purchased the record on it. (Barry Briggs,in Wandswotrh London) Unfortunately the dark green cut-out insert has been used and is not present.
Please be advised that I shall be sending the item Royal Mail 2nd Class signed for.
The pictures are of the item on offer. Should you have any questions please ask and I shall do my best to answer.
Thank you for looking.
