Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: The Beatles – Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band – RARE MONO Vinyl LP album from 1969.
This is the 1969 UK MONO pressing on the black and silver centre label.
Very few copies were pressed in MONO on the 1969 run.
PMC 7027
Matrix Side 1: XEX 637-1
Matrix Side 2: XEX 638-1
Complete with perfect cut-out sheet. Also has the very rare Apple advert poster sheet. This has a large crease on the left but is otherwise in super condition and is very rare to find complete with these.
Sleeve is fully laminated and flip-back.
Vinyl Condition: G (The record has some visible but light scuffs and surface marks on both sides but plays really well with nice sound. There is a minor bobbing of the stylus indicating a minor warp but this does not affect the play at all. Overall the record plays really well with very nice rich mono sound. One of the best sounding pressings of this great album. No sticks or jumps).
Inner Sleeve Condition: Fair (Patent pending sleeve is in bad shape. It has rips tears and lots of creases but at least its complete. I have of course put the record in a new polylined inner to keep the record tidy and keep it clean).
Outer Sleeve Condition: VG/EX (Fully laminated sleeve is in lovely condition. There are some minor creases and a few small dents to the back but really nice condition).
I grade my records as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
