Description
THE BEATLES - SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND. MONO. GLOSS LAMINATED GARROD & LOFTHOUSE GATEFOLD SLEEVE (WITH FLIPBACKS ON FOLD OUT). WIDE WHITE SPINE. RED/WHITE INNER. CUT-OUT INSERT.
UK PRESS ON THE PARLOPHONE (YELLOW/BLACK) LABEL. CAT NO: PMC 7027. RELEASED 1967.
SIDE 1: Graded at the low end of the Very Good bracket. The surface has been well played and there a plenty of hairlines and a few light scratches especially across tracks 6/7 and one across track 3 (these do not affect play at all). Nevertheless, the whole side plays extremely well although there are periods of crackle and background noise. The label is clean but the spindle is well worn and there is spidering. The matrix number is XEX637-1. Stampers are 4 and PG.
SIDE 2: Graded in the middle of the Good bracket. The surface has been well played and the are numerous mild scratches and hairlines across all tracks. Nevertheless, like Side 1 the whole side plays extremely well although there is crackle and background noise now and then. The label is clean with but with spindle wear and spidering. The matrix number is XEX 638-1. Stampers are 4 and OA.
RED/WHITE INNER: The inner has a split along one side (2 inches) and the bottom edge has tape repair. There is a small tear at the opening (both sides).
CUT-OUT INSERT: The insert is graded as Excellent.
SLEEVE: The gloss laminated gatefold sleeve is graded as Excellent (-). There are no tears, splits or damage other than some corner wear and there is a small sticker mark top left corner. The flipbacks are fully sealed down. The wide spine is fully intact with no splits.
