The Beatles – Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967 UK Mono First Pressing)
Up for sale is a 100% complete, authentic 1967 UK mono first pressing of this legendary album. This is the ultimate "holy grail" configuration that Beatles collectors look for, containing all four original components completely intact from the initial June 1967 launch window.
Pressing Details:Year & Mix: Original 1967 Dedicated Mono Mix (PMC 7027). This mix is entirely different from the standard stereo version, featuring different speeds, tape effects, and a much punchier, heavier rhythm track mixed by the band themselves. First Master Pressing: Matrix numbers XEX 637-1 (Side 1) and XEX 638-1 (Side 2). Stamped endings prove this disc was cut directly from the very first master lacquers produced at EMI Hayes. Earliest Label Variant: Black and yellow Parlophone labels featuring the original "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions..." text block across the middle. This text was permanently removed from UK prints just two years later in 1969.
Hayes Factory Stamper Codes: Side 1 features the rare Mother 5 and Stamper AT (39th stamper) codes, confirming it was pressed in the frantic opening weeks of the June 1967 release. Clean Labels: The paper center labels are pristine. There is zero spindle wear around the center hole, no ink handwriting, and no sticker residue.
Condition Report:Overall Package Condition: Strong Very Good Plus (VG+)Sleeve: Original Garrod & Lofthouse mono gatefold cover featuring the classic "flipback" internal glued seams. The yellow inner gatefold remains incredibly vibrant, sharp, and free of the usual heavy friction ring-wear or moisture staining.The Fool Inner Sleeve: Includes the ultra-rare, authentic 1967 red-and-white psychedelic inner liner designed by the Dutch art collective The Fool. It features the original matte paper texture and the essential "Made in Great Britain Patents Applied For" text on the lower border.
Cutout Insert: Includes the original, uncut matte cardboard cut-outs sheet on mid-weight card stock with the correct light-green background.Vinyl Disc: Side 1 retains a flawless, mirror-like deep gloss finish in EX/NM condition. Side 2 is visually clean but features one surface hairline scratch across the tracks (VG condition). It plays through beautifully without skipping or looping, with only a light rhythmic tick in quieter passages.
