Description
This is a extremely nice copy of the rare UK/German 1979 picture disc edition of The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album.
Normally, this UK release came with the cover made in the UK and the record made in Germany.
THIS IS A RARE VARIATION: The record is still made in Germany but the imprint that marks the sleeve as being printed in the UK is printed over in black to hide this information.
I don't know why it was sold this way and can only guess that for this variation both the record AND the sleeve where made outside of the UK.
Also, the imprint on the record itself differs from the regular version (see detail photograph).
This comes from my own collection built over many years and I bought this copy when it was released and kept it in a cool and dry place since then.
The cover is in a very solid M- state with all seams 100% intact.
The record is in Mint condition.
