Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - 1967 Mono UK 1st Press PMC 7027 Matrix XEX 637-1, XEX 638-1
Lovely 1st press of the greatest album of all time - 50 years old last month!
Parlophone black & yellow label "Sold in the U.K. ..." statement "The Gramophone Co. Ltd. ..." around edge of label Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. laminated flipback gatefold cover Psychedelic red inner sleeve No cut-out sheet - has gone missing over the years
Vinyl: VG Vinyl has light scratches and paper scuff marks Labels in great condition - no writing, very light spindle wear Has been play-tested on decent equipment Plays through fine with no skips or jumps Lies nice and flat on the table - no warping There is light crackling throughout but this does not overpower the music Crackling is often unnoticeable but can be heard in quieter sections and in the run-ins to both sides Not flawless but a very enjoyable listen, particularly for a 50 year old record!
Cover: VG/VG+ Slight wear and tear to edges but overall nice condition Inner sleeve has a small split in the side, slight discolouration and a small tear and fraying at the opening - however it is intact with no taping/repairs, remarkable for something so old (Please see pictures)
