Description
This is my original "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album which I bought in 1967 - XEX 637-1/XEX638-1. MONO PMC 7027.
It can be identified as a first pressing from 1967 as it is in mono, it has the original psychedelic red inner sleeve and the cut-out insert with a dark green background. The cut out is intact and has not been 'cut out'. Also the matrix no. is 1. The KT tax code is on side 1, either side of the spindle hole. It is in the original gatefold cover with a thin spine.
I have not played this album for approx. 50 years and it has been in storage. I cannot play vinyl anymore but on close inspection, the surface of the vinyl, on both sides, looks fine. Please see the photo of a small mark on side 2 on the last track, it does not appear to be scratched and so might come off with careful cleaning. There are very few creases to the laminate on the cover which is in remarkably good condition!
