Description

For sale: A small collection of Beatles records, most of which were purchased in Germany during the 1980s. This includes the 1982 UK version of The Beatles singles collection, as well as 5 other Beatles records. I am the original owner, and all records are mint condition--never played. Original Owner--purchased in Germany during the 1980s, the records are in mint condition--NEVER PLAYED OR HANDLED.


Up for sale is a rare limited edition UK Beatles Singles Collection set in the blue textured flip box, with all 26 singles, the complimentary picture disc, as well as the light blue record insert sheet which lists the collection’s contents, as well as release dates, recording dates, and chart positions.


Most of the sleeves are reproductions of the original 1960s releases.


The front side of the blue box features the gold embossed signatures of the fab four; the right side has “BSCP1” with the Parlophone trademark symbol above it.

Record #3: The Silver Beatles: Like Dreamers Do, Records Mint


Record Info:

3-disc package was the first time the Beatles Decca audition tapes were "officially" released in the US to retail stores in May 1982. It was the launch of this new label at the time, Backstage Records.

  • Discs 1 and 2 both contain 10 of the Decca tracks. (the same tracks on both discs).

  • Discs 1 and 3 are picture discs, disc 2 is white vinyl.

  • Disc 3 is also a picture disc, containing an interview with Pete Best, done by radio personality Jim Ladd ("Inner-View") on side 5, and excerpts from various Beatles press conferences from 1964-65 on side 6.

  • Issued in a gatefold, die-cut sleeve. Discs 1 & 2 were in pocket 1, disc 3 in the second pocket. Inside gatefold sleeve are several Pete Best-era photos.

Circular golden sticker attached to front cover: "Deutscher Schallplattenpreis / gestiftet vom fono forum" (German Record Award / endowed by fono forum [monthly magazine for classical and jazz music]).


"Stereo" printed on back cover - with Catalog-Number on upper right corner on back cover, and on spine.


Record condition: mint

Cover condition: Good--has sticker residue on front cover, and some rubbing through where records have rubbed against front and back cover over the years.

Sleeve condition: Good--sleeve for side 3/4 has come unglued on 1 side.
