The Beatles     "Songs, Pictures And Stories Of The Fabulous Beatles"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Vee Jay LP 1092 from 1964.      This is the Mono pressing.    It comes in the original 2/3 gatefold cover.       The labels are black with silver printing.     The record plays the version two songs of 'Introducing The Beatles' : Vee Jay LP 1062.         This album is a fancy repackaging of their first album on Vee Jay Records : "Introducing The Beatles".    They even used the exact same record and only changed the record number on the new cover.

In the Bruce Spizer Beatles Books the cover is VJ 1092.MC1 and the record is VJ 1062(2). MR4A.        The labels are all black with silver printing.      "Introducing The Beatles" and "the Beatles" is printing above the spindle hole.        The logo is "VJ" over "Vee-Jay Records"      The sides are spelled in all capitol letters : "SIDE ONE" and "SIDE TWO".        The songs titles are in silver microprint.        It was made by Columbia Records in Terre Haute, Indiana.         This is a genuine record in a genuine cover.    

The matrix numbers are hand etched : Side One :  triangle 6307   barely visible "MR" in circle  63-3402   and Side Two :  triangle 6307X   barely visible "MR" in circle  63-3403.    

The Beatles are : John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.        This album was produced by George Martin.      The cover photo is by Dezo Hoffmann.

The songs are : I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Ask Me Why, Please Please Me, Baby It's You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, A Taste Of Honey, There's A Place, and Twist And Shout.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG /  Record is VG

The gatefold cover is VG with no writing and no seam splits.         There is very light partial ring wear, small corner wears, tiny handling stains along the mouth on the front, and tiny chips along the mouth on the lower back.         No photos have ever been glued on the back cover.        The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG, with lots of little scuffs and lots of handling marks.      It plays great with no static or crackles and no noise between songs.          The labels are clean with lots of spindle marks.       The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
