• “SONGS, PICTURES AND STORIES OF THE FABULOUS BEATLES” LP by The Beatles

• This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1092.

• It was released in 1964.

• This LP is a fancy repackaging of Vee Jay’s “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP. Vee Jay did not press separate records for this album. Instead, factories placed “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” (VJ 1062) discs into the album’s unique and colorful 2/3-cut gatefold cover.

• “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” (VJ 1062) Version 2 discs match the listing of tracks printed inside the 2/3-cut portion of the gatefold cover which include “Ask Me Why” and “Please, Please Me”.

• As you probably know, Vee Jay, for a short period of time in 1963-1964, held the rights in the U.S. to a handful of Beatles songs that the record company recycled several times by selling the same LP in different covers. The buying public quickly realized that they were not acquiring any new Beatles’ material in each Vee Jay album they purchased. Instead, they were buying basically the same “recycled” Beatles’ tunes when they purchased “Introducing the Beatles”, “Songs, Pictures & Stories of the Fabulous Beatles” and “The Beatles vs The Four Seasons” (the Beatles’ disc in that 2-record set being another repackaging of “Introducing the Beatles”).

• The UNIQUE FEATURE of this Vee Jay LP, “Songs, Pictures & Stories of the Fabulous Beatles”, is that the LEFT-SIDE FRONT FLAP OF THIS GATEFOLD COVER IS 2/3 THE SIZE OF THE RIGHT SIDE POCKET HOLDING THE RECORD.

• BOTH COVER and VINYL are ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC!

  >The cover is die-cut with the 2/3 gatefold.

  >The labels have “THE BEATLES” printed above the spindle hole.

  >The vinyl disc has the “AUDIOMATRIX” logo very lightly stamped (top & bottom) in the trail-off (dead wax) on both sides.

  So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and not a counterfeit.

• The COVER is in VERY NICE VG+ CONDITION. The front cover images, rear cover images and images inside the gatefold are VERY NICE with VERY LIGHT/MINIMAL WEAR. There is VERY minimal wear on the black areas of the 2/3 front cover flap and rear cover. Many copies of this LP tend to show wear on the black areas. (Please check out the images and see for yourself!) The COVER is really quite clean. There is light wear on the two corners at the opening and light to moderate wear on the corners at the top and bottom of the spine. There are NO SEAM SPLITS. The SEAMS are VERY STRONG with very light wear. (I often see this LP with split seams.)

• The VINYL is in NICE VG+ CONDITION with some light surface hairlines/scuffs (none of which are “feel-able”). The vinyl is CLEAN with VERY NICE GLOSS!

• Three different VJ labels have been confirmed with this LP. The vinyl in this auction has Black Labels with Rainbow Color Band and VJ Brackets Logo at the top of each label.

• The original Vee Jay Records paper inner sleeve is also included.

It’s a NICE ORIGINAL VEE JAY LP with the 2/3 CUT GATEFOLD COVER for your vinyl collection!
