Considered to be one of most Influential and Iconic Albums of the 20th Century, this is an original 1968 UK Apple Records ** FIRST ISSUE MONO** two vinyl LP Set for The Beatles White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

This beautiful Set is 100% COMPLETE, and has a superb top opening gatefold sleeve with, two original UK first issue mono LPs, Four original Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatle, plus spacer, an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two original black inner record bags. The set is housed within its original and superb, First Issue, Fully Laminated top opening numbered, No.0103814 gatefold Sleeve.

LP Description/Condition:

The two First Issue mono Vinyl LPs are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, all four sides of the record labels **WITHOUT** the, E.M.I. Recording Reference, and with ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels.

All four record labels in stunning Near Mint condition, beautiful, undamaged record labels, vivid Black Print, with just a few signs of play to the centre spindle holes on each label.

All four sides of the vinyl discs are in beautiful, outstanding Near Mint condition, the vinyl discs look and play beautifully and still retain their new gloss shine, there are NO scratches or scuffs to any of the surfaces, both discs have obviously been very well cared for by the previous owner. I know for a fact that these LPs have been carefully played just a few times. Just really superb LPs with only light surface hairlines caused by the LPs being taken out of the Black Inner Bags.

Disc 1, Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1 & Side 2: XEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 3 TT & Side 2 stampers are: 4 GRL.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: XEX 711-1 & Side 4: XEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 3 PA & Side 4 stampers: 2 LR.

The LPs come in their original Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in preserved Excellent condition, the bags do have some light inevitable creasing and small tears, but no seam split.

….And are housed in it’s original and superb Garrod and Lofthouse Gatefold Sleeve. This first issue sleeve is Top Opening and numbered 0103814, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed and printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal Black and White Images of each of Beatle, together with the song track listing.

The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in superb Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition. This is by far one of the better condition mono White Album sleeves seen for a while. It is firm, clean, white and glossy, with no Laminate pinches, No creases, NO ring wear, just a little age toning to the edges and reverse of the sleeve.

The inner gatefold of the sleeve is in beautiful Near Mint condition. The spine edge is firm, with just a tiny area of laminate flaking, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘clearly legible. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, all corners are undamaged.

There are Four original Full Colour Glossy Photographs – one of each Beatle - All four Photographs are all in Mint Minus condition, with NO tearing or pinholes. Also an original paper photograph spacer.

And an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Mint Minus condition, the poster is superb, with no pin holes or tears. The poster has a few written dedications to the previous owners Girlfriend, written in red ink on the photograph side only.

Play Quality:

Having played both LPs, as expected all four sides play beautifully well throughout all the tracks, there are no skips and very quiet between and during the tracks, a very fresh mono sound quality. (PLEASE NOTE) there is a small click at the beginning of Dear Prudence, after examining the record i found a very tiny mark that caused this click, the click sounds for approximately 3 seconds.

Beatles White Albums in this condition rarely come onto the market, this one is an above average example. Gauranteed 100% Original with all 1968 Original inserts.
