Detailed LP Description:
The TWO ORIGINAL First Issue MONO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple Record labels, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’ and ‘Mfd in UK’ label text. All four record labels are WITHOUT the wording ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ label text.
ALL Four Record labels are in Excellent Minus condition, clean, record labels, showing several centre spindle lines on each label.
Matrix/Stamper information:
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1 & Side 2: XEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 7 GRT & Side 2: 2 GDG.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: XEX 711-1 & Side 4: XEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 5 HR & Side 4: 2 HG.
All four sides of the of the Vinyl Discs are inVery Good to Very Good Plus condition. All four surfaces of the vinyl discs show several surface hairline scratches, none of which are feelable, there are no scuffs or deep scratches to any of the vinyl surfaces.
The TWO Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags, both original bags are in Excellent Minus condition, both bags show creases, one has a small tear to the centre but nothing major.
And housed in it’s original and very nice Excellent Minus to Excellent top opening, numbered 0004392 Original first issue, fully laminated top opening gatefold sleeve.
A clean and white Front, Back and Inner Gatefold panels. There are only mild signs of record indentation to the front and back, where the records have been stored, and a few manufacturing laminate pinches.
The embossed wording ‘The BEATLES’ and the printed number of 0004392 are very clear. There are small bumps to four corners. The inside part of the Gatefold sleeve is in undamaged Excellent condition. The opening edges are firm and flat. There is just mild age toning visible to the edges of the sleeve.
The spine edge of the sleeve shows a little light age toning and light wear.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, all of which are in Excellent condition, no pin holes or tears, two of the photographs show light corner creases, and Ringo’s photo has a small stain at the bottom
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, in Excellent Plus condition, an undamaged original poster with no tears or pin holes.
Audio Quality:
BOTH discs play well through all the tracks, with a STRONG, POWERFUL MONO sound quality, with mild background crackle, with no skips, a very nice sound quality.
The Beatles White Album original and complete examples of one of the most INFLUENTIAL Albums of the 20th Century will, no doubt, continue to RISE - especially relevant to Lower Numbered versions - thereby increasing the longer term investment potential.
