The Beatles The American Tour with Ed Rudy 1964 Promo LP Original Shrink ORIGINAL 1964 ISSUE • STILL IN SHRINK WRAP (NOT SEALED) • VG/VG+ CONDITIONRare original 1964 promo/radio station LP: "The American Tour with Ed Rudy" (Radio Pulsebeat News Documentary No. II) — from my personal Beatles collection!
Still in the original shrink wrap (still on but not sealed — see photos for wrap and cover condition underneath). This protects the cover and adds to authenticity.
Key authentic details:
• Thin vinyl (typical for radio promos) with correct ~1.5" trail-off in dead wax
• Red print on cover (knock-offs often have black/blue or poor red print)
• Dead wax etchings: "Radio Pulsebeat News Documentary #2" with "A" on Side 1 and "B" on Side 2 (visible in photos) — standard for genuine 1964 originals (no traditional matrix numbers on this indie promo)
These were technically made for radio broadcast only. Ed Rudy saw the demand and had more pressed to sell on the open market. The difference was early/sold copies often came with a Teen Talk magazine and 3x5 photo card (not standard on pure radio promos). This explains why it's called a promo even without "promo" or "not for sale" markings — small independent releases like this didn't use major-label stamps/stickers.
Record plays clean with light surface marks (no skips). Cover shows typical age/edge wear but intact under shrink. A true piece of Beatles 1964 US tour history!
