I am the original owner and consider this set as “New Old Stock” because they have never been played. I have the MFSL individual LP releases I use for playback.

I put a couple of the LP’s on my turntable originally to check for any warping etc. They are perfect and Never Played them.

The entire set has been covered in plastic, padded, boxed in upright position and stored for 35 years in climate controlled 60 ° basement w no humidity

The box is in near flawless condition without dents or dings.

Being a “perfectionist” as most are who purchase this set, I will list the only very slight flaws I can see after thorough inspection: 

A very very slight factory imperfection on top left corner of the box. Not even noticeable.

The hinges and latches are shiny with only minimal markings / tarnish.

The white (cover only) on the Art Work booklet has some minimal finger prints / minor dings.

Some minimal rubs on the corners of the felt (only) on the BOTTOM of the box

Overall condition Near Mint

The Beatles: The Collection is a vinyl box set of the entire repertoire that The Beatles originally released in England through EMI Records, LTD. Transferred direct from the original studio stereo master tapes, using Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab’s exclusive half-speed master process.

Each album was pressed on Super Vinyl (far superior to so called 100% virgin vinyl) by the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) ensuring the best sound quality possible. The album covers are photographs of the actual Master Tape boxes and log sheets used by the original producers and engineers of each record. Back covers have the master tape and log sheet of the B track listing. The original album covers and artwork are included in the Art Book which also features a certificate of authenticity.
