The Beatles The Collection Mobile Fidelity MFSL Vinyl Box. # 19,814 My uncle gave this to me years ago. He bought it new and according to him he played it once to record to tape. The albums that I've listened to, about half of them, I would say I've listened to less than five times.
The case that houses the albums is in VG condition. Overall it looks presentable but there are numerous signs of wear, as seen in the pictures. All the jackets of the records are in VG+ or better condition. At worst they will have slight wear to one or more corners, and perhaps a crease or two not exceeding an inch or so long. At best near mint.
The following is a description of each albums play tested condition. Play tested using my rega rp6 and Sennheiser HD 650 wired headphones.
1) Please Please Me. (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
2) With The Beatles. (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
3) A Hard Day's Night. (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
4) Beatles For Sale. (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
5) Help. (VG+) would be near mint if not for a slight edge warp on side a, but not side b. Does not affect sound at all. Plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
6) Rubber Soul. (VG+) would be near me if not for a slight edge warp on side b. Does not affect sound at all. Plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
7) Revolver. (VG+) there is a moderate edge warp that still does not affect play.There is a superficial mark on Eleanor Rigby that does not affect play, not audible at all. Plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
8) Sgt Pepper's (NM) plays with more surface noise than the other albums, but would be considered low for any normal pressing. These are extraordinarily quiet pressings. I would say 3 out of 10 on a scale of severity. Sounds great.
9&10) White Album
DISC 1 (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
DISC 2 (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
11) Yellow Submarine (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
12) Abbey Road (NM) no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
13) MMT (VG+) (note, the cardboard stiffener that slides into the jacket is missing on this one) there is a moderate edge warp that does not affect the music. Otherwise there are no flaws, and plays beautifully with minimal surface.
14) Let It Be (NM) there are no flaws and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
