Description
As a teenager, I was an avid Beatles fan. I grew up in Detroit, played guitar, and was a member of several local rock bands. Way later this limited production product "The Collection" came out and its based on high quality pressings from the original master recordings. I had to have it!
Now, it's time to pass along the product. No LP has been played more than five times. I show you a close-up of the playing surface of the first record in the series and tell you the rest are in equally top drawer condition. I swear you can hear nuisances on these top shelf vinyl pressings that just aren't present on the original retail platters we bought from Capitol and Apple...
You get the lock box storage chest and each of the LP's. Note the close-up of the jacket for the first record sports a picture of the log sheet from the master archives where you can see date the master was taken out and returned for various tasks!
Inside the jacket, each record is packed in a high quality, rice paper, envelope and you need to be careful of your handling when your remove and return the LP as it is possible to rip through the rice paper envelope if you allow too much slide-in force.
Last, The Collection provides an Art Book that has interesting pictures from the period. And, there's a GeoDisk too boot. It lets you measure and fine tune your turn table tracking force and stylus pressure. You want to spin these platters as they were intended to be played--not tear the groves out with abuse.
I had a question about the condition of the case. The potential buyer said he thought my pictures showed water damage on the LH side bottom. I realized I didn't provide bottom and bottom/side pictures, so I've added three. The bottom is padded with flocking on the pad. Yes, there's shelf wear in the four corners as the case has slid back and forth on its storage shelf over time. But, water damage???
I had another question-does the item have its COA (Certificate of Authenticity). I added another picture. I already showed the front cover of the collections' Art Book, but you have to open it. There, you'll see the inside front cover displays the Certificate of Authenticity and each collection was numbered as this was a limited production item. Also, I kept the original warranty and the phamphlet describing the original master recording process.
