Up for auction is an audiophile's dream -- the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's "The Beatles/The Collection." This is a limited edition set (#8186) that was released in 1982 with all the Beatles UK albums mastered at half speed. In addition to the albums, there is a folder with the artwork from the original album covers and a "Geo-Disc" to improve playback performance.
The records and interior items (sleeves, folder and geo-disc) are in mint condition. The black storage case does show some shelf wear and the brass shows some slight tarnish.
I am listing the set as used, but only three of the albums have ever been played. In keeping with the album sleeve, I placed stickers on the sleeve to document when the records were played. The three that have been played (and only played once) are: Please Please Me, A Hard Day's Night, and Sgt Pepper. The remaining eleven albums have never been played or even removed from their sleeves.
